The Christmas season is a magical time full of memories your child will hold dear for the rest of their lives. If you want a way to hold onto this time forever, one of the best things you can do is schedule some pics! As an Atlanta family photographer, I created my Christmas mini sessions as an easy way for families to take a second to sit back, relax, and get into the holiday season with the people they love the most. If you have considered booking your session but aren’t quite sure what to expect, here’s everything you need to know about prepping for your Atlanta Christmas mini sessions.

Each year from October through the end of November, I offer Christmas-themed mini sessions perfect for your holiday cards! These sessions were designed to be a budget-friendly way to update your family pictures for the season. The appointments are scheduled back-to-back, giving you 10-12 minutes for your portraits. Yes, that might seem quick, but I promise, this time is all you need! You will have a predesigned set complete with a Christmas backdrop. Your family will drop in, smile and pose, and then walk away with up to 16 images you can download. It’s fast and convenient, plus it’s the perfect way to kick off the holidays!
Trust me, I understand all the stress that normally comes from family portraits, and I’m here to make it all as painless as possible! First of all, I have a client closet available, so you don’t have to shop. Your choices will include baby outfits starting at size 6 months, button-down shirts for boys, girls dresses in size 6 months up to 8/10, dresses for mom (S-L/XL), and a few button-down shirts for dad. You will be able to schedule your session completely online with flexible packages available.
I also have outdoor options if you’d prefer that! With my packages, you will be able to plan sessions with up to 7 subjects (pets included!), and once you’re done, you can download your favorite images with printing rights.
Every year I change up the studio and outdoor locations but always try and bring back some favorites as well. This way your images will look unique year after year for your holiday cards.

To schedule your session, you can head over to my website and select the portrait time and package that is right for you. I understand that 10-12 minute sessions simply don’t work for every child. If your child might need a little longer to get comfortable, I give you the ability to book a private studio mini session Monday-Friday with an added set-up and break-down fee.
Because the session is so fast, you’ll want to make sure you are completely ready ahead of your pics. This includes touching up your hair and make-up, fixing collars, and feeding/burping fussy babies. Once it’s your session time, you’ll come in, show off your gorgeous smiles, and then be done for the day. I always suggest going out for a treat afterwards as a special reward!

I really hope this post helps you as you prepare for your Atlanta Christmas mini sessions. If you do have additional questions, just let me know! I would love to give you answers so you can have pictures you’ll treasure for years to come!
