Throughout the early years of your child’s life, you have the opportunity to make Christmas as magical as possible. These are memories your entire family will carry with you for the rest of your years, and it all starts with one particularly jolly old elf! As an Atlanta family photographer, I love working with parents to create moments they can treasure forever. If you are looking for the best Santa experience in Atlanta, here are the top spots to take your kids this year.

800 Cherokee Avenue SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30315
If your child loves animal experiences, I think your family will adore Cookies with Santa at Zoo Atlanta. This annual event takes place the first weekend of December and gives you plenty of photo opportunities for your little one. While they do have something for everyone in the community, they have a special session opportunity just for members. No matter what you choose, you’ll enjoy adorable pics followed by a day at the zoo!
6400 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Duluth, Georgia 30097
The GA Festival of Trees takes place each year at Gas South Convention Center. There are so many experiences to fill your time at this Atlanta festival, including live music, LEGO stations, Santa, and even the reemergence of the legendary Pink Pig train. Your Santa experience will be included in the price of your ticket. They will not have a professional photographer on site, but will allow you to take pictures with your own phone or camera.
3500 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30326
The holiday season can be busy for everyone, and there’s a good chance you simply don’t have time to devote to an entire event. Trust me, I get it. If you are looking for something a little less intense, Santa at Phipps Plaza is a fabulous option! They have modernized the idea of a mall Santa with pre-registration to ensure you won’t have to wait in a long line. You can find his workshop in the Court of the South, right across from Tiffany’s.
800 Battery Ave SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30339
Santa’s Post Office at The Battery starts each weekend the week before Thanksgiving. Your Atlanta family can experience writing letters to Santa before handing them to his magical helpers. You can also deliver it to Santa in person! The event is completely free and features giveaways, photo ops, and other family activities. They even have specialty days where you can include your pup in the fun!
1000 Robert E. Lee Blvd, Stone Mountain, Georgia 30083
Each year, Stone Mountain goes all out with its Christmas celebration. Starting the second week in November, the theme park brings in over two million lights for a display you just can’t see anywhere else. There’s live music, parades, and tons of family activities. While you’re there, your family can head over to Santa’s workshop and spend some time with the big man himself!
If you are looking for the best way to make this season a little more magical, I just know you are going to love these spots for a Santa experience in Atlanta! Now, you just need a way to make these memories last for years to come. I can help with that, too!
