Scheduling family photos is so important. Your children are growing up and changing each and every day. These sessions let you capture a moment in time so you never have to forget a single milestone. Your Guide To Planning Spring Family Photo Outfits

Color Pallette

The very first thing you will want to consider for Spring Photos is your family’s outfit color palette. A lot of people assume bright, vibrant colors are best for a spring session, but that’s not necessarily the case. This is the time when nature is putting on a show, and you don’t want to overpower it! I always recommend sticking with soft, neutral tones such as beiges and whites. Pastels also work beautifully for this! Remember, you want to coordinate your colors rather than perfectly match everyone’s outfit.

Women

Mom’s outfit should serve as a foundation for the rest of the family. This is a great way to play around with patterns like stripes or florals. From there, you can pull the various shades from your outfit and use them for the rest of the family. When it comes to fits, I suggest going with something breezy and breathable like cotton or linen. Maxi dresses also always work!

Men

Next, it’s time to pick out Dad’s outfit. It’s always a good idea to base his outfit around mom’s. While you don’t want it to be too matchy, you do want it to complement yours. Pastel button-up shirts, lightweight sweaters, and polos work well! You can pair this with khakis or jeans, as well as nice leather shoes.

Children

Finally, it’s time to start thinking about the kids. Above all else, prioritize their comfort. The last thing you want is for them to spend the entire session complaining.

With boys, I recommend going with a light polo paired with khaki shorts or pants. Meanwhile, dresses and rompers will work well for girls.
